Faded Glory

What can I do to help preserve the Great Barrier Reef?
1. Firstly we could entirely ban plastic bags in NZ
2. Secondly we could  raise funds for a huge project to get rid of the pollution in the Great Barrier Reef.
3. Thirdly we could put this thing called a Seabin in the water and the way it works is it sucks up all the rubbish on top of the water.

You have come up with some fantastic ideas to help protect the Great Barrier Reef as well as the oceans around us, I'm impressed! I'm very happy to say that many leading supermarkets in New Zealand have already started working on your first suggestion like PAK'nSAVE and New World, yay! It's great to see you doing the research to support your thinking. The Seabin seems like an excellent invention to help clean out oceans, doesn't it? Unfortunately the Seabin can only collect floating rubbish but it's a great start! It can catch around 1.5kg of floating rubbish per day which is amazing. As for ourselves, it's really important that we are also being careful about the amount plastics we use and waste we are making.

    Keep up the hard work,
    Evelyn :)
