For this activity we had to watch these two videos video 1 video 2 and write down three things we learnt from watching them.
1. I learnt that women get paid less than men. Serena has won 23 Grand Slams and has earned 80 million dollars. The most paid Tennis player Novak Djokovik has earned 100 million even though he has only won 12 Grand Slam Events
2. Serena Williams and Venus Williams are sisters I didn't know that because I am not a big tennis fan.
3. I learnt that Serena Williams has a child called Alexis.
I want to know why women don't get paid equally to men.

I am really impressed with your question about why women don’t get paid equally to men. You have clearly put some deep thought into your research, and I like that you are questioning what you discovered.
This can be quite a complicated topic. One perspective is that women get paid less because fewer people are watching Women’s sports. Men might get paid more because they have a larger audience.
Another perspective is that women haven’t been playing sports for as long as Men, and so people are still getting used to watching them. However, we are now starting to see more and more women playing sports professionally. Perhaps we will see a change in pay equality over the next decade?
What do you think? Do you have an opinion about this? I’d be interested to see if you can find any more information out there about men and women in sports.
